POSITIONING STATEMENT
Women Out West Professional Artists of Utah and the region meet at the Maynard Dixon Gallery, in Mt. Carmel, Utah, each year to create, paint, network, relax, and support one another. WOW is used as an acronym.
MISSION STATEMENT
WOW: Women Out West Professional Artists of Utah is an organization to gather professional fine art women artists in an informal atmosphere to network, gain friendships, and to make art together. We are collecting information from each artist for a future book.
HISTORY
Utah Tech University, in St. George Utah, Professional Arts Division: Sears Art Museum, sponsors this group. Kathy Cieslewicz, the previous UT Sears Art Museum Curator, originated the group and facilitates the event; Susan Bingham, owner of the Maynard Dixon Gallery and Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts hosts the event.
