ART SHOW & SALE

ARTIST CONDITIONS
Each artist may submit 2 original, recent pieces of work (within the past year).
EXHIBIT LABELS MUST BE FILLED OUT AND PROPERLY ATTACHED to the back of your artwork. If your artwork is larger than 30” x 40”, please call Kathy (435) 652-7909 for pre-approval of an extra large entry. 3D artwork must have the paperwork attached and should stand on a pedestal. We can provide pedestals, unless prior arrangements are made.
UTAH TECH UNIVERSITY WILL RETAIN 37% OF THE SALE OF EACH ARTWORK. UT will collect and pay the sales tax on the 63% owed to the artist. Be sure to price your art accordingly. Please remind your patrons that the 37% is a donation to the Sears Art Museum for the upkeep of the museum and Permanent Art Collection.
This is our only fundraiser for the year!
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE FOR SALE. Please send your best sellable work. Keep in mind the professional level of the Invitational Art Show as this is our only fundraiser for the year. We put a lot of emphasis on selling work.
MEDIUMS ACCEPTED include oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, sculpture, pottery, and mixed media. UT reserves the right of refusal to exhibit any work not within the outlined specifications.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE PROPERLY MATTED, FRAMED, WIRED, AND READY TO HANG.
NO EXCEPTIONS.
VAN PICK UP AND SHIPPING INFO. Please have your artwork in a sturdy reusable, labeled, & sealed box. All packing material is saved and reused, plus additional packing material is added as necessary. Artwork that cannot be returned in the original containers will be crated and shipped at the artist’s expense. Please do not mail art that can meet the van.
UTAH TECH UNIVERSITY WILL insure all work while in its possession. If you are mailing artwork make sure you understand the shippers conditions.
UTAH TECH UNIVERSITY WILL NOT assume the cost of damage or loss of work while in transit to the exhibit.

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY SENT US YOUR ENTRY FORM, ART LABELS, PATRON LIST, BIO, HEADSHOT, AND HIGH QUALITY PICTURES OF YOUR SUBMISSIONS, please send them to searart@utahtech.edu as soon as possible
JAN 18 - 20 - LOCAL HAND DELIVERED & MAILED ARTWORK IS DUE. The Sears Art Museum located in Eccles Fine Arts Center will be open on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm to accept your artwork.
JAN 21 - VAN PICK-UP Is provided for artwork in Salt Lake City, Orem, Ogden, and Nephi. See below for the locations, dates, and times. Please have your artwork in a sturdy reusable, labeled, & sealed box.
FEB 18 - OPENING VIP GALA AND PRE-SALE for loyal patrons only from 4 pm to 8:30 pm. Artists are invited gratis as our guests. Additional guests are $50 per person. For tickets, please contact Jeanine Nay at (435) 652-7903.
FEB 19 - INVITATIONAL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Special Hours: Monday - Saturday 10 am to 6 pm & Sunday 3 pm – 6 pm
APR 2 - LAST DAY OF INVITATIONAL
APR 3 - 4 - UNSOLD LOCAL ARTWORK MUST BE PICKED UP between 9 am and 5 pm in the Sears Art Museum, Eccles Fine Art Center. A signature is required to release artwork back into your possession.
APR 15 - VAN RETURN See below for the locations, dates, and times.
