Important Museum Announcement!

Updated April 1, 2020

With recent increased awareness about COVID-19 (coronavirus), we must once again make an update about how recent events will affect the DSU Sears Art Museum and our patrons.

We are setting up new protocols for patrons to visit our museum, in accordance with state and Dixie State University regulations. This is for both our safety and yours! We are now only allowing guests to come through if they are viewing with the intention to buy. You must make an appointment to come to the museum, and groups larger than 10 people will need to take turns entering. The “Invitational Art” page of our website will be updated with all the information needed to buy art, including the prices, so that patrons may still enjoy the art. This is the perfect time to make a purchase that will make you happy every time you look at it. In addition, some of our artists are offering a discount!

The DSU Invitational Art Show and Sale will be extended until at least the last day of April. We will continue to host buyers until the show ends. Please contact Kathy Cieslewicz to make an appointment or to discuss a purchase.

These protocols were made with the well-being of employees, students, and patrons in mind. We hope that the Sears Art Museum will return to full operation as usual in the near future, but we will keep you updated about changes via email newsletters and social media posts. The instructions we are receiving on a statewide level are prone to daily changes, so we ask for your patience as we work to keep our museum as accessible as possible.

Although these changes may be inconvenient, we believe that it will help protect the health of our wonderful patrons and community. If you would like to learn more about the changes being made by Dixie State University, you can click this button to visit their official website.

f you would like to know more about COVID-19 and how to minimize it’s spread, the button below will take you to the website for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We encourage you to educate yourself and stay informed!

We will regularly update our website with information about our plans for the near future. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email us at culturalarts01@gmail.com. We wish you the best of health, and are grateful for your continued patience and support!
